The Smoky Mountain Cabin Turnover Cleaning Checklist

A turnover isn't a regular house cleaning — it's a reset to listing-photo condition on a tight window, every single time. Here's the full checklist a Smoky Mountain cabin turn should hit.
Living areas & bedrooms
Dust and wipe all surfaces, including the spots guests notice: fan blades, window sills, light switches, and remotes. Vacuum and mop floors, check under beds and couches for left-behind items, reset furniture to your listing photos, and empty every trash can.
Beds are stripped and remade to hotel standard — tight corners, even pillows, no stray hairs. This is the single most photographed part of a cabin.
Kitchen
Run and empty the dishwasher, hand-wash anything left, and put everything back in its home. Wipe counters, the stovetop, and the inside of the microwave; clean the sink; and check the fridge for forgotten food. Restock coffee, filters, dish soap, sponges, and trash bags.
Bathrooms
Scrub and sanitize toilets, showers, tubs, and sinks; polish mirrors and fixtures; and replace towels with fresh, folded sets. Restock toilet paper, hand soap, and toiletries — never leave a guest hunting for a spare roll.
Linens & laundry
Every bed and bath linen is laundered or swapped for a fresh par set, folded to a consistent standard, and stains or wear are flagged before they end up in a guest photo. On tight same-day turns, a par-level linen set means the turn never waits on a dryer.
Hot tub
If the cabin has a hot tub, it's drained, scrubbed, refilled, and chemically balanced between guests, with the cover and surround wiped down. A clean, ready hot tub is often the reason the cabin was booked — treat it like a core task, not an afterthought.
Restock & staging
Top up consumables to a per-property checklist, stage welcome touches if the host provides them, and do a final walkthrough against the listing photos so the cabin looks exactly like what the guest booked.
Photo verification
Before the turn is marked done, photos of each finished room go to the owner — proof the cabin is guest-ready, and a record if a guest later claims damage. This is standard on every CabinReady turn.
The part most checklists miss: coverage
The best checklist in the world is worthless if the cleaner doesn't show. Every CabinReady cabin has at least two vetted cleaners assigned, so a no-show is our problem to solve — not yours — and if we ever miss a scheduled turn, that clean is on us.
